Welcome Home
JT Builders is a family builder working across Northern Colorado’s Front Range. We take on a deliberately small number of projects each year — custom homes, full remodels, renovations and period resto-mods — so that the person who prices your project is the same person walking your site.
Jot Tucker learned the trade from his father, a contractor and custom home builder, and has been building under his own name since 1983 — through Texas, Tennessee, and now Colorado. Four decades on, the standard hasn’t moved: build it the way you’d build it for your own family, and stand behind it.

What We Do
From a bare lot to a 1950s ranch worth saving — the through-line is craftsmanship and a builder who answers his own phone.

Our specialty. Period character kept and restored, everything behind the walls rebuilt modern. A classic house that lives like a new one.
Learn More →The Process
Building should not feel like a black box. We developed an eight-step process so you always know what happens next, what it costs, and who is responsible.
We help you evaluate a lot — grade, access, utilities, setbacks and what it will really cost to build on it.
Design ambitions meet real numbers early, so nothing has to be cut late.
You work directly with our interior designer on the inside and the outside of the home.
With the design settled, we put an upfront price in front of you — itemized, not estimated.
Selected Work

A ground-up ranch estate carried from first sketch to final walk-through. Stone, heavy timber, and a great room held up by exposed trusses — with a resort pool, an outdoor pavilion built around its own fireplace, and every piece of millwork run in-house.

A 1950 house on a Boulder hillside, sitting on one of the best views in town and no longer able to use it. Taken back to the studs, rebuilt, and reopened to the Flatirons — timber trusses, black standing seam, and glass where the view is.
Resto-Mod
1450 High St, Boulder — the same hillside, seventy years apart.

Pragmatic, hard working, honest, and very experienced.
